Pamper night

So the other night I decided I needed a pamper! You know when you get to that point in the week were you're just like uuuurrrgghhhh. Well that was me, my face was ming, my hair was even worse and I just needed a bit of a pick me up! So off I went collecting up all my bits and bobs to pamper myself will and got my bath running!

The first thing I RAN for was my comforter and if you live under a rock and don't know what that is, its that beautiful gorgeous amazing pink thing in the middle of the picture above! This is the best thing that LUSH sell! Like seriously, just talking about it makes me want to go and run a bath and use it! It smells amazing! It turns the bath pink, its just... lush!
I clean my face as soon as I get into the bath because all that steam will just open your pores and eat all your make up which is not good! I should do it before I get in but I can never wait! I use Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish with a Muslin Cloth. I then use Superdrug's own facial scrub to brighten up my complexion and get rid of all them dead skins cells and any make up lurking deep down in my face!
When I'm feeling a bit rubbish I love to get my face scrubs out and just give my face a right good clean, gently obviously! I adore the soap and glory scrub your nose in it! I unfortunately have quite big pores around my nose/cheeks which I inherited off my mum who got them from her mum and so on! So this tightens them right up! I also use this when I have a spot(s), I dap a bit on the spot and within 10 minutes it will be mostly dried up! Lovely I know! I also use a
When it comes to my hair... well its dead, completely! It really needs cutting and dying but I just can't find the time! I wash it with just a cheap shampoo, give my head a good massage and then I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, for luscious long hair! The thing is though and I'm not even joking, I've used it that much I think I'm immune to it!... or maybe I just need to get rid of my dead ends? maybe. Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioners are amazing! They are a miracle! You can buy them in bottles or in little sachets for around 99p! Fabadoo!
My bath with the comforter looking so cute! Which I then
melted into for about 3 hours!
Once I am out the bath I towel dry my hair then smother it in Bed Head After Party, which by the way if you have never tried, try it! My boyfriend bought it for me 3 years ago and I much have repurchased it about 4 times since! It is perfect for big frizzy thick hair which I am blessed to have...
I use After Party before I blow dry with a large brush and then I use a smaller amount once my hair is dry to straighten or curl. May I add in here that Mark Hill hair styling products are very good! I own this hair dryer and matching curling wand! Wowee do I love them!

Once all that is done and dusted, I feel fabulous! I usually just get in bed and get lost into my laptop till 4 in the morning!
I hope you enjoyed this post, it was a bit random but I want to do posts that I would like to read and I am quite nosey so this type of things interests me! Hope you liked! Comments are very much welcome!

My Real Techniques Brushes

Now let me start by saying this, I have no bad words to say about Real Techniques Brushes. I first heard about Real Techniques on YouTube and didn't think much of them. Then as I researched into them more I was in, they had sold me! At this time my School Leavers Do was coming up and I was doing my own make-up so I was buying mostly new make up. I couldn't afford to buy a lot of brushes so I just went for the Stippling Brush that I used for my foundation. I tried this brush as soon as I got home, took all my make up off and started from scratch just so I could use this brush. It applies foundation so well, you can really work it into the skin, it almost acts like a buffing brush to create a flawless base.

(From left to right) Power Brush, Blush Brush, Expert Face Brush, Stippling Brush, Deluxe Crease Brush, Base Shadow Brush, Accent Brush, Brow Brush and Point Eye liner Brush.
The next lot of Real Techniques Brushes I got was the Starter Set, (which are the purple brushes on the right). I asked my mum for these for my birthday and much to my joy I got them. I was soooooooo happy! And again I ran up stairs and started to try them out! At the moment I use the Expert Crease Brush for my concealer, the Base Shadow Brush for my base and contouring which it is perfect for because it is pointed so it fits into the crease of your eye perfectly. I use the accent brush for accenting obviously and the brow brush for my brows. I don't actually use the Point Brush a lot, I don't have an gel eye liner to use it with. I sometimes use this brush to high light near my tear ducts if I have quite a heavy eye look, to brighten my eyes.

Now to my most recent brushes, I bought the Powder Brush, Blush Brush and Expert Face Brush as a little treat from me to me. I am very much enjoying these brushes so far, I have started using the Expert Face Brush for my foundation instead of my stippling brush, just for a bit of a change. This brush gives great coverage and blends your foundation really well. The Blush Brush is just perfect for blusher, i used to find myself applying too much and it looking a bit to strong on the cheek. This brush makes blush look a lot more natural. I also sometimes use this brush for my bronzer, for contouring, usually when I'm going out and I want to be browner! The power brush is lovely, its nice and soft and blends the power on your foundation evenly. My old power brush was one from GOSH and the bristles used to come off on my face, so I'd have to pick them off and smudge my make up! It was a right pain!
I am very happy with the Reach Techniques Brushes an I think they will be in my life for a very long time and will soon hopefully have the whole collection! I would seriously recommend buying these brushes! If not all then at least the basics, they have made such a positive change in how I apply my make up! They can seem a little pricy, it just depends on how you look at it! I like to keep an open mind when it comes to buying make up. If it wasn't worth it, it wouldn't cost that much!
Thank You very very much gorgeous Samantha Chapman for creating these amazing brushes!
If you would like to have a browse on the Real Techniques Website I have linked it below. Along with Samantha Chapman's YouTube Channel, where she does beautiful make up tutorials with her sister Nic.
Thank You very much for reading!  I hope you enjoyed it and it might have help you or anyone in anyway! Please comment if you have any questions or suggestions!

Collective Superdrug and Boots Haul

So I've picked up a few bits and pieces recently, you know when you fancy a little mooch around Boots and Superdrug and see if anything catches your eye and to pick up a few bits, well I've had a few of these lately!

So one of my most recent purchases from Superdrug is the Sleek Face Contour kit in light. I originally wanted the Contour kits that included the blush as well but they were out of stock, so just couldn't help myself and went for the closet option! I really enjoy this product! This is my first Sleek product and I am really impressed with it so far! It includes pressed contouring powder and a highlighter, the highlighter is gorgeous! It has such a lovely shimmer to it! I also really like the contouring power, its not too dark and not to orange either. It blends really well! The packaging is all gorg! It reminds me a lot of the NARS products. This palette also includes a nice big mirror that has a slight enlargement to it. I would definitely recommend buying this product! I think it was around £6-£7. Here is the link to the full product description http://www.sleekmakeup.com/face/contouring/face-contour-kit

While I was almost fangirling over Sleek I had a little peek at the lipsticks and one may have fallen into my basket and travelled over to the counter...
I AM OBSESSED! I have never found a lipstick like this one, the colour is so clear and matte and beautiful and I can't stop wearing it! I got Sleek True Colour Lipstick in 777 - BARE ALL. It is a gorgeous coral colour and because it is matte I just fell in love! When I first found this colour I did not expect to fall in love so quickly! and I didn't expect it to be the colour it is! Apologise for this picture quality, it was really hard to get a picture that showed what it actually looks like in person. But please take my word for it, IT GORGEOUS!
I have included the link for this lipstick and the rest of the colours for this line:

My next purchase was addictions to my Real Techniques Brushes collection! I was having a browse in Boots and saw 3 for 2 plastered all over these and I just couldn't not get any! The first Real Techniques brush I got was the Stippling brush and after that they had me! They make my make up go on so much better than before! On this little shopping trip I got the powder brush, blush brush and expect face brush. I honestly don't think I will ever use any other brushes, they are such good quality and affordable! You can wash them and wash them and wash them again and they still stay in excellent quality! If you don't own these brushes please go and buy them! I am currently saving up for the Core Collection and am very excited to get my hands on them!

While making my way round Superdrug I stopped a little sale, so obviously, you can't walk past a sale in Superdrug! I stopped this L'Oreal Perfect Clean Foaming Gel Wash, I had seen these in the past but never bothered. I have recently run out of Liz Earle and this was reduced to £1.99 so why not? I got home and gave it a try, the only down side is that you need to take your make up off first, where at Liz Earle would do the job for you! That is why I also bought some Simple face wipes. Anyway so I took my make up off and gave it a try. You get the bottle its self and then a little rubber scrubber.. polisher.... thing... you have to dampen your face, pour a little bit of the Gel onto your "scrubber" then just go for it! I do have to say my face didn't half feel fresh after wards! Skin wise... It hasn't really improved my skin since using it, its made it worse or it couldn't just be a coincidence?! who knows. I think I would recommend this for someone younger, like when your kind of getting into starting to wash your face and use moisturisers etc. For now I think I am going to stick with Liz Earle, it is a good product but just not for me.

The last of my buys was a new brush and a hair doughnut, these are the things I've had on my To Buy list for a long time! My hair has recently got a lot longer so I needed a bigger brush to use when drying my hair, so far it has been a god sent! I can manage to dry my hair a lot straighter, as I have naturally curly hair or should I say naturally MASSIVE hair! I also got a large hair doughnut, I the medium size on and I just can't get my hair round it properly, my neat bun just ends up looking messy. The bigger doughnut is so much better! If you have long hair I would defiantly recommend to buy these two products! They were both from Superdrug! The brush was around £6 and the doughnut was about £5.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Please feel free to comment!
Thankyou!

DIY Simple Nails

I used to absolutely love having my nails done in high school, I would get gel glittery tips every month, but then I got to an age where I couldn't really be given as much money anymore, I needed to earn it.

So one day I had a party and decided to try out some false glue on nails from Bodycare for about £1.99, these were the French manicure style, so I left them. Then I got bored and decided to paint them and loved it! It became my new obsession, only now I have found some plain nails for only 99p, you get a lot of nails so a pack will last about 2 weeks, maybe 3 if you look after them. Great!
So if you want to have nice looking long nails without handing out £30 every few weeks then these are great! I usually have a break every few weeks so my nails don't get too damaged! Generally as long as you don't rip them off the glue doesn't really do any damage to your nails so that's another win! I originally started using these nails for nights out, then I started college and was a bit embarrassed of my rancid nails so I stocked up on these!

Bodycare has also become my new place for nail varnish! They are only 99p and have some great colours!
I recently found a neon yellow/green and haven't had it off since!

£2 for nail varnish and nails, who can complain!? The pack also comes with lots of replacement nails so if any ping off you won't have to walk around looking like a wolly!

I hope this post was helpful or interesting or not?
Comments would be lovely!
Thankyou!

My MUA Favourites

I first heard about MUA on A Sprinkle Of Glitter, otherwise known as Louise, YouTube Channel. I loved the sound of the prices! So while I was at the Trafford Centre I hoped into Superdrug and picked up two of the MUA Trio Eye shadows. I picked these because it was my school leavers do coming up and I was practicing what look I wanted to have. Ever since I have kept on buying the odd piece of MUA, it is always a good feeling when I have a couple of pound in my purse and I can nip into Superdrug and treat myself because of how wonderfully cheap everything is!

So here are all my MUA favourites!

Firstly may I just my camera and these pictures don't fully pick up on the colours of these products, but it gives you a rough idea!
This is the MUA Trio Eye Shadow in Smoke Screen. These eye shadows are gorgeously pigmented! The MUA Trio Eye Shadows are perfect for nights out, because of how much of a strong look you can create! The is especially good to create a really dark smoky eye, you can layer the colours and contour effectively.

This is the MUA Trio Eye Shadow in Pink Sorbet. These colours have a gorgeous shimmer to them and they aren't scary pinks. Sometimes pink eye shadow can be a complete no go! But these... I LOVE. before I tried this I never used anything other than black or brown eye shadow, I am now so much more open to trying different colours!

This is the MUA Trio Eye Shadow in innocence. This is my holy grail of eye shadows, if I'm in a rush or can't decide on eye shadow colours, this is my go to item. It is such a lovely neutral palette! You can also build it up because of how pigmented they are! They blend beautifully and I am completely in love with this! By far my favourite piece of make up I own.

My next favourite of MUA is the 3 in 1 extreme contour liner in Brown. I initially bought this for my eye brows, as I was hunting around for something affordable I came across this, swatched it on my hand and really liked it! Although it is a little thick on your eye brows it creates a very defined brow and is perfect if you have dark features like me. The reason it is called the 3 in 1 is because you can create 3 different looks with it, which I have swatched below.

My next favourite from MUA is this powder blush in shade 4. This colour is a lovely coral colour, although it is a tad too pigmented so if you don't use this lightly you end up with a lovely bright orange blob on your face. So blending is key when it comes to MUA blushers! I do really enjoy this blusher it creates a fresh glowing look!

My next favourite is something I tried once my MUA 3 in 1 has run out, was the MUA PRO-BROW ultimate eyebrow kit. This was literally a spur of the moment chuck in my basket, didn't even look at the price kind of thing! I tired it as soon as I got home and really liked it! You get four different colours a dark and light brow shade, a highlighter and a gel to set your brows. You get a little double ended brush and a mini pair of tweezers. It also has a fold over mirror but unfortunately I dropped mine and it broke from the base. It is really handy to take out with you and touch up through the day. The brow shades themselves are really light and don't make your brows feel heavy. If that makes sense. So I recommend buying this if you are on a budget! I do think that this is a bit of a dupe for the Sleek Brow Kit which I have also got lined up to buy and try!

So here we have ANOTHER MUA eye shadow in shade 19 - matt. I bought this because the MUA Trios have a shimmer and after a while I got a bit fed up of always having a shimmery eye. This is where I ventured again to Superdrug and gave this a try! Typically of MUA it is pigmented, with this eye shadow you need to definitely use a primer and a base of eye shadow otherwise it doesn't blend too well and can be patchy! But once I learnt and practiced with this eye shadow I love it! it is nice when I just want a small bit of colour on my eye just to add some contour.

This is probably in close second in my MUA favourites! MUA lipsticks are fabulous! They re so creamy and pigmented! This is in shade 11. This lipstick is such a lovely colour, I often use this when my make up if feeling a little dull and I want something that will go with what I'm wearing 90% of the time. I would definitely recommend buying some MUA lipsticks and at only £1 who can argue not to?! They are lush.

My finally MUA favourite product is the Matte Perfect Primer. I picked up this product because i had ran out of my pervious Bare Minerals Primer and could not afford to repurchase. I do like this primer, it makes my face feel a lot smoother when applying my foundation. You can also wear this on its own, it almost acts like a BB cream. As far as the "matte" part of it goes, for me it does nothing because I have oily skin, but it may work for someone who has combination or dry skin. If you are on a budge and are looking for a primer I would recommend this, it is cheap enough to try and you don't loose out if you don't like it.

Sorry if this post was a bit messy! but I hoped you like it! I am trying my hardest to get the hang of blogging, I have lots lined up so there will hopefully be some more coming in the next few days! Please feel free to comment!
Thankyou!

I have some planned so keep your eyes peeled, there will be a new post this weekend or early next week! Hopefully!
